This
F-25C has just undergone an extensive and expensive refit including all
new state of the art racing sails, new nets, synthetic rigging and a full repaint.
Always dry sailed, the last few years on Lake Michigan. In excellent
condition and ready to go.
Background
The F-25C is actually
26'6" long overall, and is constructed of carbon fiber/epoxy/balsa
sandwich. Forty five were built in the '90's--all hulls were hand
laid-up, vacuum-bagged and autoclave-cured for maximum strength with
minimum weight (less than 2000 lbs). Hulls were then sold to individual
owners who either finished the boats themselves (ie painting, installing
deck hardware) or had their boats professionally finished as was this
example. The F-25C is a very fast vessel with light, responsive steering.
Acceleration is amazing, and an F-25C will outsail most other
trimarans, including many that are much larger and a lot more expensive.
Capable of speeds in excess of 25 knots under sail. Can be easily raced
with a crew of 3, or cruised with 1-2. |
